RediHEAT - Always Delivery Hot!

No one purchases cold, soggy pizza. If you ask anyone that you know, you would discover that people only like cold pizza when it is leftover and from their fridge. Customers want their pizza to be hot every time they order it. This can be achieved by using heated delivery bag.

The standard pizza box does not provide a source of heat to keep pizza warm. Instead, the pizza box keeps the pizza “cozy” or in other words acts as just an insulator. We believe that the pizza should be able to retain its own warmth with a consistent source of heat. In a RediHEAT pizza bag, pizza stays fresh for a longer period of time, and customers can really see the difference.

RediHEAT uses this type of technology in our heating elements and know that it is an efficient and reliable way to heat pizza and almost any other type of food. For any questions regarding our products or how to purchase your own, visit us at www.rediheat.com

Always Order the Largest Pizza

When ordering pizza, most want to eat it all in one sitting. This causes them to order only as much as they think they can eat at one time. However, it is better to purchase the largest pizza size that you can afford, especially since pizza can be re-heated or eaten cold over the next several days.

The reasoning behind this is just simple geometry. A pizza is round, and the area of a circle is proportional to the square of the radius. This means, for instance, that a circle with a diameter of twelve inches has an area two-and-a-quarter times as great as one with a diameter of eighteen inches.

Thus, to get the same amount of pizza that you get in a larger product, you would have to spend an extra amount on more than one smaller pizza. The scientific conclusion is: order the pizza in the large delivery box....unless for some reason you are someone who does not enjoy leftover pizza, but do these people even exist??

RediHEAT’s delivery systems come in many sizes, so you can order the largest sizes of pizza that you prefer. Visit us at www.rediheat.com for more information.

Healthy Pizza

Pizza is one of those universal foods that almost everyone enjoys. It is great for many different occasions such as birthday parties, a treat for your office, sporting events, or even just to unwind at home. Even though many of us enjoy pizza…….is it healthy? Pizza may often be classified as junk food, but this is not always the case.

The basic ingredients of pizza - the crust, cheese, sauce, and toppings, all have healthy potential if they are made of fresh, wholesome ingredients. The nutrient contribution of pizza to the diet is actually substantial. If you compare pizza to the Food Guide Pyramid several food groups are represented.

The tomato sauce and the fresh produce toppings may equal one or two servings of vegetables (a serving of vegetables is/cup cooked or 1 cup raw). An ounce of cheese is a serving from the protein group. Thus, a pizza may be a source of B and C vitamins, beta-carotene, calcium, and protein.

Although pizza may provide these benefits, it also depends on the toppings you put on your pizza and also how much you eat. If you are reasonable with your toppings and consume appropriate portions, pizza can be a healthy and delicious meal!

Visit us at www.rediheat.com to ensure that these nutritional benefits will come from a fresh, hot delivery pizza!

How Long Does it take a System to Heat Up?

This is important because restaurant owners need to know how long our product takes to heat to its maximum temperature so that they can determine an efficient way to implement the delivery bags into their business.

Initially, a cold start requires at least 8-12 minutes to reach temperature. Once the temperature is reached, the system can be unplugged and it is ready for delivery. For the remainder of the day, the element retains residual heat and is back at delivery temperature in about 4-6 minutes.

Other questions have also been asked about some kind of indicator when the device has reached delivery temperature. At this time, we do not have this feature on our heaters being that it would add significant cost to the product, but has limited utility.

Keep in mind that this product is fully heated and ready to use within minutes; after it reaches temperature, the solid-state heating element holds it steady, waiting for use. You can get more productivity from the heaters if you leave them plugged in when not in use. This allows your systems to be ready to go when a delivery is to be made, even if your driver is not ready yet. Although these bags should be unplugged and turned off with the end of operations each day.

How Many Bags Should I Buy?

One of our most popular questions from customers is “how many RediHEAT units do I need to run my operation?” The best answer to this question is each operator will know best.  We have customers that use as little as two per location, and we have customers who use as many as 30 bags.  How many bags are you currently using today?  This will give you a starting point.

In addition, your drivers may be using 2-3 bags at a time when making deliveries that could take 15-45 minutes. This could increase the quantity of bags that you may need for your business. If you are still unsure, start out with purchasing a small quantity of bags and keep track of how often and how many you use. You can always add more bags as your business grows.

Temperatures Colder Inside Car than Out During Winter Months

If you’ve experienced winter weather, chances are that you’ve dealt with very cold temperatures in your car, especially, if it has been sitting outside overnight. The cold temperatures in your car can be felt as you start your morning commute to work, school, or any other activities. Although your car will eventually warm up, those first few minutes are miserable.

While doing some research about car temperatures during the winter, we found that the temperature inside of cars is generally colder than outside temperatures. This is caused from a variety of things.

Typically the air inside your car will be damper than the outside which would cause your face and hands to feel the cold more. Sitting down on cold seats can also make you feel slightly colder than you would if you were standing outside. Finally, the outside air has time to expand or even warm at night or during the day while the temperature in your car will be lagging behind.

Now let’s think about delivery employees. Most deliveries are made in the evening when outside temperatures tend to drop during winter months. Depending on the night, the employee may not be making a lot of deliveries right away, or there could be a large gap of time in between deliveries. This leaves time for the temperatures in their cars to drop and become even colder than outside temperatures. Even though the pizza may come out piping hot, these temperatures can have an effect on the quality of the pizza, possibly resulting in an unhappy customer.

Fortunately, RediHEAT’s delivery systems can keep pizzas warm using the best thermal materials as well as our patented heating element. Pizza’s will stay warm throughout the delivery time and you will never have to worry about losing a customer due to cold pizza. Visit us at www.rediheat.com to purchase your own heated delivery system to beat these frigid winter temperatures!
